The Chevrolet Lanos is a compact car manufactured and marketed by General Motors in several countries, including Russia, Ukraine, and Egypt.
History of the Chevrolet Lanos
Russia
In 2005, GM entered into an agreement with ZAZ to have Lanos models produced in Ukraine for export to the Ukrainian and Russian markets. Due to an international agreement, they would be sold duty-free through the GM dealership network. The Chevrolet Lanos sedan went on sale in Russia in November of 2005. Using the Chevrolet nameplate let it successfully compete against the Renault Logan. Since July 2009, it has been sold under the brand name ZAZ Chance in Russia.
Egypt
Chevrolet Lanos production at GM Egypt's 6th of October City plant began in November 2008 using kits manufactured in Ukraine.

The price of a used Chevrolet Lanos ranges from EGP 75,000 ($3,861) to EGP 137,000 ($7,054).
Release Date
General Motors released the Chevrolet Lanos in Russia in November 2005 and Egypt in November 2008.
